November 15th started out pretty nicely. I was still feeling good that I went to Jiu Jitsu for the first time since Kerrigan was born the night prior. I woke up to my alarm at 5am, turned it off, and set a timer for one hour. After that went off I got ready for work and kissed Maddie goodbye.
At work I was excited for the Thanksgiving potluck. So excited in fact that my stomachs got a little crazy and forced me to go buy 2 protein bars and a giant bin of mixed nuts! But this was of course after we took our squadron photo. I like the squadron photo idea, being able to look back at the squadrons I worked for after this is all said and done. Back in the office, I ate both metrx 30g protein bars and a handful of nuts. I then thought “good thing these tatsty lil guys are healthy” and looked that the nutrition label. 130 calories for every 1/4 cup! And almost no macros and micros to boot! Then after all that munching it was time for the thanksgiving potluck. My favorite item there had to be Romero’s corn:
- 1 slab of cream cheese
- 1 stick of butter
- Lot of sugar
- Lot of corn
It was very tasty creamy and sweet.
That’s about the craziest thing that went on at work. Something of note however is the fact that my boss did not talk to me about her choice as to whether I will still receive my LOC or not.
After work me and Maddie hurried to get ready for our Williamsburg date night. Maddie called me out saying that “it’s funny how the only reason you want to take me out is to show off your new clothes” and that was definitely the reason at first. But when we left I was reminded how fun it is to go out with my girls and totally forgot about my new Light Green Carhart WIP Detroit Jack (spring). We went to mellow mushroom:
and got ice cream and milk tea from the place next door. On the way home Kerrigan slept and we stayed silent just relaxing to sleep music in the dark drive home.
Once home we knew there would be two ways the night would go: Either Kerrigan stays asleep or she’s super confused and thinks it’s wake up time. She went with the latter. After an hour of work we finally got her to sleep. I quickly set up this blog and Maddie went right to bed. Ok cya
